Going into another world

Last night, I took a ride on the crazy train and had a great time. Considering the topic it sounds kind of morbid, but I can’t help it. I’m a fan of horror films, especially when they are well done and not just a gory, blood and guts type of movie.

Bedevilled (Well Go USA)

I was watching Bedevilled. It’s a foreign film. (By the way, don’t be afraid of foreign films. There are some amazing movies out there, trust me.) I don’t want to ruin it for you in case you decide to watch it. But be prepared for the end, because it’s going to get a little messy.

Like a good book, I was moved by the characters and the story. There were some things that made me very uncomfortable, but I was still engaged which was awesome. I was annoyed, pissed off, and sympathetic to the main characters.

At the end, I could understand why and how things turned out the way they did. There was even a moment I was talking to the television and offering encouragement, it was bad.

I love movies or books that make me feel something for the characters and I’m 100% immersed in the story.

Another world

I just hope I’ll be able to invoke those kinds of strong emotions with my book. Of course, isn’t that what we (writers) all aspire to achieve?
